Ceremony Rituals
Adding a ritual to your ceremony can assist with making the moment more special and memorable for both the couple and the guests as it creates greater involvement and participation.
A ritual can involve just the couple, or include any children or extended family members to make them feel included. Some rituals can encourage participation from all of your guests, like the wishing stone ceremony.
Below are some examples of our possibilities, but certainly not limited to:
The possible rituals that we can include within your ceremony are endless
Butterfly Release
Releasing butterflies at weddings and special events is a gorgeous way to unveil the magic and say “I love you”.
Candle Lighting Ceremony
A candle lighting ceremony signifies the joining of lives and/or families. You can do this by each lighting a candle representing your individuality which you will then join together to light your marriage/unity candle.
Dove Release Ceremony
There are many relatively new traditions creeping into modern weddings and a wedding dove release is one of them. Doves have long been a wedding motif as they symbolise love, peace, and happiness, so it makes sense to include them in your wedding plans.
Hand Fasting Ceremony
Hand-fasting is a symbolic unity ritual in which a couple stand face to face as their hands are tied together, hence, tying the knot!
Liquid Blending Ceremony
This ceremony can be performed with any number of liquids from coloured water to beer or wine, basically, any liquid can work!
Lolly Jar Ceremony
This ceremony can be great to get children involved within the ceremony, for example where there is a blending of 2 family with children. A lolly jar symbolises different members of the family coming together while also bringing their own flavour to the mix. Each person can choose a different lolly to mix in.
Sand Pouring Ceremony
The Sand Pouring Ceremony symbolises the coming together of two people or a family. The "Blending of the Sands" ceremony is a beautiful and meaningful ceremony.
Unity Puzzle Ceremony
A unity puzzle ceremony symbolises the different pieces coming together as one. This is a great way to have children involved in the ceremony.
Wine Box Ceremony
The Wedding Box Ceremony is a popular option for couples who like wine, whisky or even beer. It's also a great option for couples who love to write. Perhaps you want to write your own vows but don't want to share them in front of everyone? You can write them and put them in the box for a memory for later. Perhaps a note to your future self?
Wishing Stone Ceremony
The idea is that the energy, love and good wishes that your guests have for you, and your future life, will be absorbed into the stone. This ritual is a great way to involve all of your guests within your ceremony.
